FUPRE Admission Requirements For UTME and Direct Entry Candidates

As you know, you can gain admission to study at FUPRE either via direct entry or UTME. Whichever mode of entry you choose, you must meet the requirements for admission and they are as follows:-

UTME (JAMB) Candidates

To apply for admission through JAMB UTME, you must:–

  • Have at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) in subjects relevant to your course. These credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings.
  • Choose the correct JAMB subject combination for your desired course. Selecting the wrong combination may disqualify you.
  • Score at least 170 in your JAMB UTME. Some competitive courses may require higher scores (check the table for details)
  • Choose FUPRE as your First Choice when registering for JAMB. The university does not accept second-choice candidates.
  • Participate in the FUPRE post-UTME screening. Your performance in this screening will also determine your chances of admission.
  • Be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

If you are applying through Direct Entry (DE), you must meet the following requirements:–

  • Have at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) relevant to your chosen course, in no more than two sittings.
  • Have at least two (2) A-Level/IJMB passes in subjects related to your chosen field of study.
  • Candidates with JUPEB/A-Level passes in related subjects are also eligible.
  • Applicants with a First-Class or Second-Class Upper degree in a related field can apply for admission into a higher level of their chosen course.
  • You must purchase the FUPRE Direct Entry (DE) form through JAMB and also register on the FUPRE admission portal.
  • If you hold an NCE, ND, or any other Advanced Level Certificate, you must have at least a Merit Pass to be considered for admission.
