Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic Admission Requirements
The management of Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia (BUPOLY) admits candidates based on their ability to meet the set admission requirements. If you intend to apply for admission into the National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, you must meet the specific criteria for your desired mode of entry.

ND Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission into any National Diploma (ND) programme at Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic, you must:-
- Have at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings. The other subjects should be relevant to the course you are applying for (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology, etc.).
- Sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organised by JAMB and choose BUPOLY as your institution of choice.
- Meet or exceed the JAMB cut-off mark for the polytechnic and the specific course you are applying for. Note that this cut-off may vary depending on the department or programme.
HND Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into any Higher National Diploma (HND) programme, applicants must meet the following conditions:-
- Hold a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant course obtained from Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic or any other NBTE-accredited institution.
- Have graduated from the ND programme with at least a Lower Credit classification. Candidates with a Pass may be considered only if they have at least two years of post-ND work experience.
- Complete a minimum of one year of Industrial Training (IT) in a recognised business, industry, government, or private sector organisation related to the applicant’s field of study.
- Be ready to present evidence of Industrial Attachment (such as an IT letter, certificate, or reference) during the screening process.
- Also possess five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, just like the ND requirement.
