Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Admission Requirements 2025
There are two main modes of entry into the university: UTME (through JAMB) and Direct Entry. Candidates interested in either option should carefully review the admission requirements and make sure they meet all the necessary criteria before applying.
UTME (JAMB) Admission Requirements
To apply through UTME, you must meet the following:-
- Five credit passes in SSCE/GCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent exams in relevant subjects (see combinations above for sciences and management courses).
- Candidates with a Grade II Teacher’s Certificate must have at least five subjects passed at credit or merit level, including English, Mathematics, and Economics.
- A JAMB UTME score that meets the university’s minimum cut-off.
- Your JAMB subject combination must include Mathematics, Economics, and either Accounting or Commerce, especially for business-related courses.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
If you’re applying through Direct Entry (DE) into 200 Level, you’ll need:-
- Five credit passes in O’Level subjects (not more than two sittings), along with at least two A-Level passes in relevant subjects.
- Alternatively, four passes at A-Level or its equivalent may be accepted.
- Note: No subject is allowed to be counted at both the O’Level and A-Level.
- Candidates who have completed a UAM Diploma in a relevant course, with good grades, may also be considered, provided they also have the required O’Level passes in English and Mathematics.
