• Candidates with an Ordinary Diploma (OD) are only eligible if applying to the Faculty of Law. A minimum of Upper Credit is required.
• For those with a National Certificate in Education (NCE), admission is open in the Faculties of Arts & Islamic Studies, Education, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Agriculture. If applying for teaching subjects in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Agriculture, you need at least 9 points. However, Arts and Humanities require a minimum of 10 points.
• Applicants with an IJMB/GCE “A” Level qualification can apply to all faculties except Education (except for Library & Information Science). The required points vary:-

• 9 points for Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Agriculture.
• 10 points for Arts and Humanities.
• 12 points or more for Health Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

• For those with a National Diploma (ND), admission is accepted across all faculties except Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry. The minimum requirement is an Upper Credit.
• Holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) can apply to all faculties except MBBS, Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences. The minimum qualification requirement is a Lower Credit.
• BUK accepts WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and NBAIS, but with specific conditions:-

• NBAIS results are accepted only for applicants to B.A. Arabic, B.A. Islamic Studies, and B.A. Sharia.
• NABTEB results are not accepted for the College of Health Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences.
