Academic Staff Positions
The following academic staff positions and their requirements:
- Professor: A Ph.D., at leastĀ 20Ā publications,Ā 16Ā of which must be in at leastĀ fourĀ different and regularly published foreign index journals, and experience supervising three Ph.D. and three Masterās students.
- Reader/Associate Professor: A Ph.D. and experience supervising Ph.D. and Masterās students.
- Senior Lecturer: A Ph.D. and at leastĀ tenpublications in reputable journals, and evidence of continuous researchĀ and supervision of postgraduate students.
- Lecturer I: A Ph.D., at leastĀ threeĀ years of teaching and four journal publications, or two journal publications and six articles in a Masterās degree plus five years of teaching experience.
- Lecturer II: A Ph.D., at least two journal publications and three years of teaching experience, or three journal articles and a Masterās degree plus two years of teaching experience.
- Assistant Lecturer: A good second-class honors degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution or a Masterās degree.
- Faculty of Agriculture: Agronomy, Animal Science, Agriculture Economics and Extension, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Forestry and Wildlife.
- Faculty of Arts: English and Literary Studies, History and International Studies, French, Theatre and Media Arts, Philosophy, Visual and Creative Arts, Christian Religious Studies.
- Faculty of Computing: Computer Science, Cyber-Security, Information Technology.
- Faculty of Education: Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation, Vocational and Technical Education, Science Education, Arts Education, Social Sciences Education, Adult Education, Primary Education, Guidance and Counseling, Educational Management, Early Childhood Education, Health Education.
- Faculty of Environmental: Geology, Architecture, Industrial Design, Building, Fine Arts, Glass and Silicate Technology, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography and Environmental Management, Landscape Design, Estate Management.
- Faculty of Law: Private and Property Law, Jurisprudence and International Law.
- Faculty of Life Sciences: Plant Science and Biotechnology, Microbiology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Science Laboratory Technology.
- Faculty of Management Sciences: Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship Studies, Petroleum Information Management, Public Administration.
- Faculty of Physical Sciences: Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Computer Science, Statistics.
- Faculty of Social Sciences: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Mass Communication, Psychology, Criminology and Security Studies, Library and Information Science.
- Faculty of Veterinary Medicine: Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry.
- College of Health Sciences: Medical and Medical Laboratory Science,Ā Medical Laboratory Science.
- Faculty of Nursing Science: Nursing.
- Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences: Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Technology.
- College of Medicine: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Human Biochemistry.
- Faculty of Clinical Sciences: Medicine and Surgery.
Non-Teaching Staff Positions
The following non-teaching staff positions and their requirements:
- Director of Health Services: An MBBS plusĀ 15years of post-registration experience.
- Medical Officer: An MBBS plus one year of NYSC or Exception certificate.
- Pharmacy Intern: A B.Sc. (Pharm) with full registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria plus one year of NYSC or Exception certificate.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist: A good first degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), with registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria (IMLTN) plus one year of NYSC or Exception certificate.
- Medical Records Officer: A minimum of a National Certificate in the Nigerian Health Records Association or National Diploma in Medical Records.
- Medical Laboratory Technician: A minimum of a WASC or SSCE plus three years of training and registration with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for Technician Cadre.
